We would like to invite you to submit a paper for our Special Issue of Schutzian Research to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Society for Phenomenology and the Human Sciences (SPHS). We intend to include the great spectrum of the various disciplines represented by the members of SPHS, such as sociology, psychology, political science, anthropology, geography, communication, history, ecology, religion, cultural studies, ethnic/race/gender/queer studies, medical/health sciences, and education. Also, this celebration journal issue is meant to represent the cultural diversity of the multinational researchers of SPHS with their specific perspectives of investigation. You are invited to demonstrate your engagement with SPHS by deploying your specific phenomenological perspective to address some issue within the social and human sciences. We are looking for those who share our dedication to theoretical, methodical and practical examinations of the Life-World, who are concerned with a reflective appreciation of the nature of experience or that explore or apply qualitative approaches to the human and social sciences.
Furthermore, we invite scholars, former or current members of The Society for Phenomenology and the Human Sciences, to submit a paper with a historical perspective on SPHS including their personal experiences with the organization. We would strongly appreciate your participation in this Special Issue of Schutzian Research dedicated to SPHS.
Please submit your papers to michael.barber@slu.edu no later than June 30, 2022.
