Frege’s dedication to Husserl in his copy of “Über die Grundlagen der Geometrie” (1903):

“Herrn Prof. Dr. Husserl hochachtungsvoll überreicht vom Verfasser.”

Husserl:
(Husserl an Scholz, 19. II. 1936)

<“I have never met G. Frege personally and I do not recall any longer the origin of this correspondence <with him>. He was at that time generally considered as a very ingenious, yet odd character, neither mathematically nor philosophically fruitful.”>

See the Boyce Gibson diary from 1928 (June 24): “The ‘Philosophie der Arithmetic’ was once declared ‘out of print’ or practically so. Owing to publishers having been changed twice, a case of copies of this book was overlooked and redisovered. It has not yet been exhausted. When it first came out it was warmly welcomed by Windelband, Riehl. Sigwart, Rickert etc., – only one strong antagonist: Frege of Jena. Husserl remarked that Frege’s criticism was the only one he was really grateful for. It hit the nail on the head.”
